Leeds United youngster departs Elland Road to join Fleetwood Town on permanent deal

Max McMillan has departed Leeds United to join League One outfit Fleetwood Town.

The former Whites youngster had featured heavily for the club's Under-18s outfit this season, appearing in the Premier League 2 on a regular basis.

McMillan also played a role in United's FA Youth Cup and EFL Trophy ties earlier in the campaign.

The 18-year-old, though, has left West Yorkshire with immediate effect and put pen-to-paper on a deal with Fleetwood until the end of the 2022/23 season.

He will immediately link up with the Cod Army's development squad, where former Leeds full-back Stephen Crainey is currently in charge.
