Leeds United legend Brendan Ormsby answers your questions.

Hi, Brendan.

What do you make of the goals we are conceding? Do you think it’s right to just blame the defence or blame the whole team?

Ron Sampson, Leeds

THEY always say you defend from the front, although when teams are letting in goals, people always look at the back four and the keeper. In one sense, you can’t win. The stats don’t lie and we’ve one of the worst goals against records in the division and the worst at home.

If you intend to win something then you need as many clean sheets as possible. All the top sides don’t concede many.

Football is a team sheet, but a defender’s job is clean sheets. With the goals conceded against Barnsley on Tuesday, the first was a good ball into the danger zone and we didn’t defend the first ball in.

The left-back had too much spare time with the second – while the third went straight through the wall. It was too easy.

A lot of the goals we’ve conceded this season have been poor. I saw the goals from the first game at Barnsley for instance and couldn’t believe it – some of it was schoolboy stuff.

We’ve conceded eight goals to them this season and six in the home game with Preston.

We’re still in a decent position and scoring a lot of goals, but worryingly conceding them as well.
