Leeds United: Whites announce Dublin pre-season trip

Leeds United have announced that Garry Monk's first-team squad will travel to Dublin for a two-match pre-season tour next month.

The club confirmed their first summer friendlies today by revealing that they will meet Irish sides Shelbourne and Shamrock Rovers in the space of four days in July.

The clash with Shelbourne, who Leeds have played several times in previous pre-seasons, will take place on Wednesday, July 13 (7pm). United are scheduled to play Shamrock Rovers on Saturday, July 16 (3pm).

Venues for the two matches are still to be confirmed.

Leeds, whose players will report back for pre-season training in less than a fortnight’s time, are in the process of arranging English-based friendlies to follow their fixtures in Dublin and the club plan to appear at Elland Road on the weekend of July 30, the final Saturday before the start of the new Championship season.
