Andy Robinson’s time at Elland Road may not have panned out as hoped, but it definitely went better than his substitute appearance at the weekend.
Introduced from the bench for Stockport County against Solihull Moors, Robinson spent time conversing with the assistant referee before running onto the field.
Something clearly went on between the two, as by the time Solihull were making a substitution of their own, Robinson was being dismissed by the referee.
His sending off was timed at just 32 seconds after his introduction.
Despite protests by the rest of the County side, Robinson left the pitch before the game had even restarted, meaning that he had no playing time whatsoever before making the walk of shame back to the dressing room.
Robinson was a much heralded signing for Leeds United, but ultimately disappointed after his free transfer from Swansea City.
He made 38 appearances in the league between 2008 and 2010 for Leeds before moving to Tranmere Rovers.
