Listen to Neil Redfearn’s press conference ahead of Leeds United’s clash with Huddersfield Town at Elland Road.
Souleymane Doukara v Conor Coady. The crucial area for Leeds in both of their past two games has been the attacking tip of their midfield diamond. Rudy Austin forced the pace from that position against Birmingham and Leeds got on top of Bournemouth on Tuesday once Doukara began flexing his muscles behind the front two. It would help no end.
TOWN KEY MAN
Jacob Butterfield. Town lost Adam Clayton to Middlesbrough in the transfer window but securing Jacob Butterfield in a cash-plus-player deal gave them a very ample replacement. Butterfield has never quite come on from his promising start at Barnsley
PHIL HAY’S VERDICT
United v Town. In their first seven games Huddersfield have looked like relegation material: a bit short of goals, flimsy at the back and eminently beatable. Chris Powell’s appointment as manager might change all that but this feels like a good time to be playing them - not least because of the way Leeds demolished Bournemouth in midweek. United’s tails should be up.
