SWEDISH international centre-back Pontus Jansson will make his Leeds United league debut against Huddersfield Town today - but fellow new recruit Eunan O’Kane has failed to make the bench.

Jansson has been brought in to replace Liam Cooper at the heart of United’s defence, to partner Kyle Bartley.

As part of three changes made by head coach Garry Monk, Kalvin Phillips also replaces Ronaldo Vieira in centre midfield while Alex Mowatt replaces Pablo Hernandez on the left flank.

But O’Kane, who was widely expected to make his Leeds debut today, is not even on the bench.

Monk said at Thursday afternoon’s Thorp Arch press conference that his only injured player was full back Gaetano Berardi.

Leeds United team to face Huddersfield Town: Green, Ayling, Jansson, Bartley, Taylor, Bridcutt, Phillips, Mowatt, Sacko, Antonsson, Wood. Subs: Silvestri, Coyle, Cooper, Vieira, Hernandez, Roofe, Doukara.
