Cgheck out out at-a-glance guide to Leeds United’s clash with Charlton Athletic at Elland Road.

Key Battle - Jordan Botaka v Morgan Fox

It would be nice to think after two good appearances as a substitute that Botaka will start at home to Charlton on Saturday. He deserves the same opportunity as Lee Erwin and he would be coming up against a defence who have conceded no fewer than 76 goals this season - a figure befitting a relegated side. Fox is Charlton’s left-back and Botaka would surely fancy his chances of taking the 22-year-old Welshman to town.

Key Man - Johann Berg Gudmundsson

The Icelandic midfielder has been one of the few bright sparks at The Valley and he might well be one of the few Charlton players who other Championship sides try to nick in the summer. His tally of five goals has made no great difference but 10 assists is an excellent figure and Leeds don’t need to think too hard about where Charlton’s creative spark will come from. He scored twice in a 2-2 draw at Elland Road last season.

Goals: Leeds - Mowatt 49, 67. Charlton - Gudmundsson 62, 81pen.

Phil Hay’s view:

Charlton are the type of opponents who Leeds should be looking to roll over in style. United are in form, playing with confidence and up against a team who have been relegated already. Charlton have huge problems, with massive divisions between their board of directors and their fanbase, and they have lost 23 league games already. This should be a home win all day long.
