LEEDS United head coach Uwe Rosler will make a last minute decision whether to field Souleymane Doukara or new signing Stuart Dallas in Saturday’s season opener against Burnley.

LEEDS United head coach Uwe Rosler will make a last minute decision whether to field Souleymane Doukara or new signing Stuart Dallas in Saturday’s season opener against Burnley.

Dallas recently became Rosler’s latest signing when arriving from Brentford on a three-year-deal to end United’s long quest for a new left-sided winger.

But while Rosler was wholesome in his praise for Dallas in Friday’s pre-match press conference, the German stressed that a lack of match fitness with his new arrival left him with a quandary ahead of Saturday’s Championship opener at Elland Road.

Rosler initially signed Dallas for Brentford from Crusaders when in charge of the Bees and told the YEP: “He has not played a lot of match minutes in pre-season and I would say he is a little bit behind but I would say that is normal standards.

“But he is still match fit and he is still available for Saturday.

“I will decide on Saturday will he play or will Souley play?

“I know exactly what I get from Stu and he is a great example.

“I went over to Belfast three years ago and met his parents and met the player and after I met him I knew he would be a good player.

“I got the green light to sign him, Brentford did a great job and the player did a great job and I know exactly what I get.

“I think our supporters are knowledgeable and you could tell from their reaction on Twitter that they knew what type of player he is.”
