KALVIN PHILLIPS replaces the injured Chris Wood as head coach Garry Monk makes one change to his Leeds United side for this afternoon’s Championship clash with Brentford at Elland Road.

Wood is out with a hamstring injury and looks set to be replaced by Souleymane Doukara in the lone striker role, just ahead of Kemar Roofe in the no 10 position.

After serving a one match ban, Phillips is given the nod over captain Liam Bridcutt alongside Ronaldo Vieira in centre midfield.

Bridcutt is named among the substitutes having only recently returned from a three-month lay off after breaking a bone in his foot.

But there is no place on the bench for Pablo Hernandez, despite the Spaniard having returned to training this week after a spell on the sidelines with a hamstring injury.

Eunan O’Kane is also still out with his groin problem but Marcus Antonsson is back among the substitutes having recovered from a back problem,

Leeds United team v Brentford: Green, Ayling, Bartley, Jansson, Taylor, Vieira, Phillips, Sacko, Roofe, Dallas, Doukara. Subs: Silvestri, Cooper, Berardi, Grimes, Mowatt, Bridcutt, Antonsson.
