Leeds United’s Under-21s are through to the last 16 of the Premier League Cup after a 2-1 victory over Leicester City.
United’s development squad earned an away trip to Watford in the next round of the competition with a battling win in Nuneaton last night.
Leeds recovered from the concession of the opening goal early in the second half as two Luke Parkin strikes turned the tie on its head.
Harry Panayiotou struck on the hour for Leicester but replies from Parkin in the last 21 minutes secured United’s passage into the last 16.
The date of their clash with Watford is still to be confirmed.
Leeds’ starting line-up included first-team squad members Casper Sloth, Brian Montenegro, Chris Dawson and Charlie Taylor.
