Leeds United legend Brendan Ormsby answers your questions.
Hi Brendan. For me, one of our big problems this season has been a lack of width. And what do you reckon to the Luciano Becchio situation?
Paul Cross, Leeds
We have pushed Sam Byram onto the right on occasions and Paul Green has slotted in there. But he is really a central midfielder.
We have not got a natural left-winger either. For me, Aidy White is a natural left-back, someone who is quick but not an old-style winger at all.
In terms of El-Hadji Diouf, he goes wide a bit, but he likes to float around mainly, off the front man.
But he is a quality player and while every rival team hates him, he plays to that and it makes him tick. He thrives on it.
As for Luke Varney, he is not a natural winger at all as well.
I saw a bit of Jerome Thomas on the wing and for me, he went down a bit too easily, like a lot of wingers do.
As soon as someone was near him, he was on the floor. And while he looked quick and had two good feet, his final ball was poor for me.
Two wingers will be good additions, but firstly, I think we need a quality central midfield ball player. Like we had when I played with Snods (Ian Snodin), who could tackle and pass it around.
It is alright having grafters in there like Michael Tonge and Rodolph Austin. But we need people who can turn a game.
As for the Becchio situation, I personally think he might have been approached by representatives of another club and could be on his way.
Neil Warnock said about Becchio’s head not being right at Barnsley and it makes you wonder. Personally, I think he will probably be gone before the end of January.
