Leeds United’s game against Sheffield Wednesday on January 16 has been selected for broadcast by Sky Sports.
It is the second time this season that the clash will be televised, with the reverse fixture also having been shown.
An investigation by the Yorkshire Evening Post on Wednesday revealed the reason behind Leeds’ frequent presence on television.
Previous ties between the two Yorkshire sides have proven popular with viewers before. The game on August 17, 2013 was the most watched game in the Football League between February 2013 and February 2014, drawing in an average of 640,000 viewers throughout the broadcast.
January’s tie had already been moved to 12.30pm on police advice.
