Leeds United’s opening-month trip to Simon Grayson’s Sunderland has been chosen for live coverage by Sky Sports.
Leeds’ visit to the Stadium of Light on Saturday, August 19 will kick off at 5.30pm, one of five changes already made to the Elland Road club’s new Championship schedule.
United’s clash at Bolton Wanderers on the first weekend will also be televised by Sky having been moved to a 4.30pm start on Sunday, August 6.
The game at the Stadium of Light re-unites Leeds with former manager Grayson who left Preston North End to take charge of Sunderland last week.
Meanwhile, United’s Yorkshire derby against Barnsley at Oakwell - a fixture marred by crowd trouble last season - will kick-off at 12.15pm on Saturday, November 25.
The match has been brought forward from a 3pm start on police advice following the violence which overshadowed Leeds’ 3-2 defeat to Barnsley in January.
That game took place at 5.30pm after being chosen for televised coverage by Sky.
Leeds’ Easter trip to Fulham has also been rearranged from Monday, April 2 to Tuesday, April 3 (7.45pm ko).
