Leeds United will face a capacity crowd when they clash with league leaders Newcastle United at St James’ Park next month.
Newcastle announced yesterday that the televised Good Friday fixture has sold out, guaranteeing an attendance in excess of 50,000.
The clubs’ initial meeting at Elland Road in November also attracted a capacity crowd in excess of 36,000 - Leeds’ first for six years - and next month’s sell-out come despite Sky Sports opting to broadcast the game and move it to a Friday night.
Leeds have been allocated 3,200 away tickets which will go on sale this Friday.
The April 14 fixture is the first league meeting between the sides at St James Park since 2004.
Newcastle lead the Championship with eight games to go, with Leeds nine points behind in fourth.
