Dallas has yet to feature in any of United’s pre-season fixtures after a busy summer which saw the winger help Northern Ireland to the Euro 2016 last 16 in France.

But the winger has been back in full training with Leeds for the past fortnight and is expected to be given an outing by head coach Garry Monk against Serie A side Atalanta in readiness for next Sunday’s Championship opener at QPR.

Right-back Gaetano Berardi is also in line to feature for the Whites after returning to training from a leg injury which was unrelated to the two ankle ligament problems which the Swiss international ace picked up last season.

Former Cagliari defender Gabriele Perico could also feature for Leeds having joined the club on trial with Monk in the market for cover at full-back.

United will definitely be without centre-back Liam Cooper who is still recovering from a calf injury but Cooper is expected to be fit for United’s first game of the season at Loftus Road.
