BRAZILIAN midfielder Adryan has made his bow in Leeds United colours – completing 75 minutes of the development squad’s clash with Ipswich Town at Thorp Arch yesterday afternoon.

The 20-year-old playmaker, signed on a season-long loan from Brazilian giants Flamenco and dubbed as the ‘New Kaka’ in his homeland, was the star attraction in the encounter, which saw the visitors triumph 3-2.

Adryan, United owner Massimo Cellino’s marquee recruit of a hectic summer rebuilding programme, had been put through his paces last Thursday in a practice match and showed some glimpses of his talent against Ipswich.

Striker Brian Montenegro and defender Dario Del Fabro are still awaiting international clearance after arriving at the club and did not feature. Chris Dawson and sub Lewie Coyle, on his comeback from injury, netted for United.
