Charlie Taylor was named Leeds United’s player of the year at the club’s awards ceremony last night.

The left-back, who picked up the YEP’s prize for the 2015-16 season ahead of yesterday’s 2-1 defeat to Charlton, topped a poll among United’s supporters to claim the official club trophy.

Northern Ireland international Stuart Dallas was chosen as the players’ player of the year while 19-year-old Lewis Cook – a recipient of the Football League’s prestigious young-player-of-the-year trophy last month – received Leeds’ young-player-of-the-year award.

Cook, who was picked by the Leeds United Supporters Club as their player of the year, also won the goal of the season prize for his brilliant 30-yard strike in February’s 1-1 draw with Fulham at Elland Road.
