Leeds United have released their accounts for the 2018/19 season - and fans have reacted to the figures on social media.

The accounts show the Whites operated at a loss of £36m and an annual loss of £21m, where finance expert Kieran Maguire has broken down the figures. Here is just some of the reaction from around the web via supporters:

@CarlM1979: Shows why we have to sacrifice a top player sale every year whilst we are in this league. Figures are no worse than the majority of top championship clubs but is certainly a reality to check to all those who think we should just throw all the money at promotion like Wolves did.

@MickyPKerr: We’d have to sell Kalvin to balance the books. I’d rather go into administration.

@StirkCraig66: Every clubs in debt in the Championship just get on with it and get promotion.

@dom_bradderz: This explains the summer activity a lot.

@AndrewFirth21: Not looking good, promotion or bust looking at those figures.....investment clearly needed.

@simonwhittam35: Wow, this explains a lot. The season really does need to be finished, hopefully promotion gained, get us out of trouble. Not good.

@AndersP3: The numbers clearly shows the commitment from the owners!

@edge_lufc: Surely this paves the way for a sale/investment from QSI? He desperately needs an injection of cash from somewhere to be able to compete in whatever league we will be playing in next season.
