REPUBLIC of Ireland U21 international keeper Eric Grimes has penned a new one-year deal with Leeds United.

The 20-year-old has finally put pen to paper at Elland Road after being offered fresh terms earlier this summer, following on from the lead of a host of Academy team-mates.

Lewie Coyle is the only significant member of the development squad side yet to commit his future to the club and agree a new deal.

Cork-born Grimes featured 13 times for the U21s last season, having signed professional terms with the club who has he supported since being boy back in 2013.

A host of United starlets have agreed new deals so far this summer, headlined by Lewis Cook signing a contract extension until 2017 and fellow midfielder Kalvin Phillips agreeing a new two-year deal.

Alex Purver, Lewis Walters, Jake Skelton, Luke Parkin and Tyler Denton have also signed on the dotted line.
