LEEDS United fans heading to their side’s game tonight at Brighton by train are facing potential travel headaches.

Services between London and the south coast town have been badly disrupted by emergency repairs to a tunnel near Crawley.

Replacement buses have been pressed into action on part of the London to Brighton main line.

Journeys are reported to be taking at least an hour longer than normal.

Local train operator Southern said the tunnel was likely to remain closed for the rest of the day.
