Check out our Bradford City v Leeds United big match preview and listen to Dave Hockaday’s press conference ahead of the Capital One Cup clash.
Mark Yeates v Gaetano Berardi. Berardi will come into United’s team cold with Sam Byram suspended and Berardi at the end of his own three-match ban. The diamond system used by David Hockaday has placed much pressure on United’s full-backs and whoever plays on the left side of Bradford’s midfield – Yeates or Filipe Morais – will have Berardi to go at.
James Hanson. A towering forward at 6’4” and a player who is usually good for a goal. Hanson has the height and the instinct to exploit any weaknesses in the United defensive unit.
PHIL HAY’S VERDICT
In the circumstances, how nice a home tie against an out-of-form League One club would have been. City, as is traditional, have nothing to lose and home crowd to help them, and Leeds look as vulnerable as any of the bigger sides in the draw. If nothing else, this is a proper test of Hockaday’s management – and a glaring examination of his squad’s confidence.
