Featherstone Rovers take a look at trialist Hemingway

Trialist Tom Hemingway will turn out for Featherstone Rovers in tomorrow's pre-season game against Oldham.

Hemingway began his career with Huddersfield Giants and had a spell on loan at Batley Bulldogs, before a stint with the now defunct Blackpool Panthers.

"We're going to have a look at him," said Rovers coach Daryl Powell. "He is a really good kid and he'll get a good opportunity with us to show what he has got, starting on Saturday. He has been a highly-rated young player for a number of years and looking at him in training, I think he will be a good acquisition for us."

Rovers will field a mainly reserve-strength side, but Jon Grayshon and Jon Steel will both feature along with Greg Worthington, who has been handed another chance to impress at stand-off.
