The meeting was held at Leeds Civic Hall and was received in a positive manner by committee members who remarked that this was a major improvement on the previous scheme put before them and there were no major concerns raised by the panel at this stage.

Farsley Celtic will be joined in this venture by a major construction company which will be announced when contractual issues have been put in place.

Chairman, Andy Firbank, said: "The club were looking forward to working with a new partner to put in place a major development for sport in West Leeds which would benefit the Football club and also the whole community."

Farsley Celtic will display the planning application in the clubhouse from Saturday, November 1 at 3pm.
