Doncaster Rovers v Ipswich Town: Game frozen out

Doncaster's npower Championship match at home to Ipswich tomorrow was postponed this morning as the freezing conditions across the country continued to hit the sporting programme.

A frozen pitch at the Keepmoat Stadium has forced the game to be called off.

Rovers director of football Micky Walker told the club's website: "In all my years in football I have not seen a playing surface as solid as the one we have here at the Keepmoat."

The League One matches between Colchester and Oldham, Hartlepool and Leyton Orient, Brentford and Tranmere, Carlisle and Exeter and Rochdale and Bristol Rovers were also called off due to the wintry weather.

The League Two clashes between Hereford and Northampton, Morecambe and Aldershot, Crewe and Southend and Rotherham and Accrington fell foul of the weather as well.

Sheffield Wednesday's League One game at home to Yeovil and Bury's League Two fixture at home to Torquay had already been postponed prior to today.

More fixtures are expected to fall with pitch inspections at grounds across the country due to take place throughout the day.
