Apart from an understandable blip at Lord’s where they had recently been crowned champions, there was simply no stopping the White Rose this year and, as The YP’s cricket writer Chris Waters contends in our latest show, their dominance of the County Championship is likely to continue for a number of years.

A second successive four-day title was important to all connected with Yorkshire, showing their determination to back up their success last year.
