Castleford Tigers' home Boxing Day game against Bradford Bulls has fallen victim to the freezing weather.
The game was called off this afternoon with the pitch at Tigers' Probiz Coliseum "frozen solid".
Tigers chief executive Richard Wright said: "With forecasts for Castleford indicating highs of 0C until Boxing Day, it was in everyone's interest for us to make a decision at this early stage.
"We are unable to rearrange for the day after Boxing Day or New Year's Day.
"We will now turn our attentions to arranging another pre season game for Sunday, January 16.
"With Bradford away doing warm weather training in Lanzarote around the 16th, our opponents will be announced as soon as possible."
