Leeds travel over the Pennines for a Roses affair this weekend hoping for a vintage performance against the Clarets, who have only lost one game at home all season. We go there in good form, looking to make it an excellent eight games unbeaten. As for team selection, I think it's time to see McCormack partnered up front with the impressive Becchio and Bradley Johnson dropped to the bench. A win would set us up nicely for a showdown with QPR next week.

November proved Leeds can compete at Championship level, December will identify whether they have serious promotion credentials. Burnley have a great record on their own patch, a traditional ground with an excellent atmosphere. How the defence cope with Iwelumo, Burnley's physical centre-forward, will be crucial. The Leeds bench is increasingly the difference between sides and a game I would have down as a defeat six weeks ago is one I believe we can produce a positive result from.

As I live in Skipton, I know a lot of Burnley fans so Saturday's fixture is important, not only for the fact that there are three points at stake, but so I don't have to spend the next few weeks avoiding anyone! Fortunately, the bragging rights are ours to lose as we currently sit three points ahead of Burnley – although they have a game in hand. 'The Turf' is somewhat of a fortress for them, they have only lost one game there this season, so we can expect a tough game.

Score Prediction: Burnley 3 United 3

A short trip over the Pennines awaits as United put their seven-match unbeaten record on the line. Following their short stay in the Premier League, the Clarets look the best equipped of the relegated sides to bounce back at the first time of asking. Yet again the defensive qualities of the Whites will be tested. However, on present form we should fear no-one and if we are to have realistic ambitions of success, this is a game we need to get something out of.

Score Prediction: Burnley 2 Leeds United 2

United make the trip across the Pennines to face a Burnley side that on paper should be pushing for the play-offs. According to a Burnley fanzine, this is a big derby for them and one that they look forward to. For me personally, I think that the only thing important to Leeds fans is to get three points and keep the unbeaten run going. We were very impressive last Saturday and hopefully we will carry that form forward to the big game versus QPR next weekend.
