A leeds boxer will be cheered on by his hometown supporters when he takes to the ring at the First Direct Arena later this year.
Josh Warrington, who went to John Smeaton High School in Crossgates, will take on Davide Dieli for the vacant European Featherweight title on Saturday, October 4.
The bout, which will be played out live on Sky Sports, follows Josh’s hometown victory at the arena in May this year, where he fought Martin Lindsay to win the Commonwealth Featherweight title.
The clash tops a bill with former two-weight World champion Ricky Burns, Light Middleweight World title challenger Brian Rose and Liverpool’s Super Middleweight star Callum Smith.
Tickets go on sale today from noon, priced from £30. Visit www.firstdirectarena.com or phone 0844 248 1585 to book.
