Hambleton is looking forward to getting started at Leeds. He said: “I’m very excited for the upcoming season and for the opportunity to become a Leeds Force player.

“After speaking with (coach) Mika Turunen I feel that his style of coaching and his coaching pedigree is very much suited to how I like to play and I’m excited for my own personal development. I am also determined to make a positive impact on the team’s overall success this season.”

The signing comes hot on the heels of George Brownell’s switch to the Force from Sheffield Sharks.

The 23-year-old guard joined the club on Tuesday and will make his debut against the Bradford Dragons on Sunday, September 10.
