Former Great Britain youth prospect Will Hall says he is nearing a return to his best form after taking the fight to BBL high-fliers Cheshire Phoenix last Friday.

The 23-year-old forward scored a massive 23 of Force’s 53-point haul in their 12-point defeat to the Nix as the British Basketball League rookies failed to record a fifth league win of the season.

Hall said: “I had a bit of a slump over Christmas and new year, but I feel as though I’m getting back to where I was before the holiday period.

“Since the start of the season I’ve definitely got a lot better.

“It was disappointing to lose the game. We defended really well against a team who score a lot of points, so to keep them to 60-odd is a good return. It’s just a pity we couldn’t score more offensively ourselves.”

Two of Hall’s points came despite the attentions of Paul Sturgess, Cheshire 7ft 7.26in tall former Harlem Globetrotter.

“I had to throw it 20-foot in the air just to get it over him!” laughed Hall. “He acutally got his fingertips to it, so it went in off!”
