The Phoenix led from start to finish as they were the more aggressive of the two teams from the tip off.

Cheshire held a 14-point lead at the end of the first quarter as the impressive Earl Brown Jr top scored with 10 points for the hosts.

The Force came out strong in the second quarter as they went on a 12-5 run as Jack Isenbarger found his range from beyond the arc.

A 14-6 run at the close of the half made it just a four-point game at the halfway stage as Isenbarger sunk a deep three and Rob Marsden powered to the basket for a dunk.

Mike DiNunno fired his only triple early in the third quarter to give his side a crucial eight-point lead but that advantage was quickly wiped out as Marsden contributed four of a 6-0 run to bring the scoreline down to just a two-point game.

That proved to be as close as the Force came as a 9-0 run by the Phoenix midway through the last quarter pushed the game beyond Leeds.

Brown Jr was the game’s top scorer with 22 points and Isenbarger put up 21 points for Leeds.

Force’s next game is at London Lions tomorrow at 4pm.
