Amaranth look to the future
Amaranth FC will be hoping for better results next weekend after just one of the club's five junior teams managed to win their opening league fixture. Click here for more details.
The club's under-11s lost 10-0 away to Albion Sports, having only been behind 2-0 at half time.
The under-12's were beaten 6 - 2 at home against Colton Juniors while the under-13's lost 7-0 at home to Collingham.
Meanwhile the under-16 juniors lost 5-2 away at Halton while the under- 16 Colts won 3-2 away at Tingley Athletic.
Mark Bell, of Amaranth, said: "Albeit unhappy with the results, each manager watched some good team and solo performances in their respective games and now have the task of building on these performances for the next weekends games."
