HARROGATE TOWN boss Simon Weaver was left totally gutted after his side crashed 4-0 at home to promotion-chasing Stalybridge Celtic in Blue Square North on Saturday.
Two goals from Jody Banim and further strikes from Lee Dodgson and Michael Carr ensured Celtic ran out comfortable winners at the CNG Stadium.

Weaver will be looking for a vast improvement when Harrogate make the return visit to Stalybridge next weekend, with tomorrow's scheduled match against stricken Farsley Celtic very much in doubt.

Weaver said: "I gave people jobs, but they didn't carry them out. Some of the experienced lads didn't do it and were devoid of any character.

"Sometimes when you're in this position you find out a lot about people. Today it was particularly disappointing.

"For the second goal no-one has made a tackle and he's just waltzed around players. Where's the fight?

"I've had four broken legs, six broken noses and 60 stitches in my head. But I was hurting in the heart today more than any superficial pain..."

Town started well but Stalybridge gradually began to dominate and they never looked back.

Banim opened the scoring in the 38th minute following a corner and Dodgson doubled the tally after the turnaround when he ran through unchallenged and tapped into an empty net.
