OULTON Raiders and East Leeds are both celebrating their second win of the National Conference season – despite having a player sent off.
Matty Handforth's penalty two minutes from time secured Raiders' 18-16 success over Widnes St Maries, while East Leeds were impressive 30-14 victors at Shaw Cross.

Raiders remain bottom of the Premier Division despite their triumph, which also inc
luded a brace of tries by Gavin Wood and one from Nicky Dobson.

Oulton had Scott Macdonald dismissed for attempted tripping with a quarter of the game left.

Easts were trailing 14-12 when Tom Idle was red carded for dissent, but the harsh dismissal sparked an unanswered four-try blitz which moved them up a place to ninth in Division Two.

Joe Walkin scored a brace of tries for Easts, Gareth Lally, Jason Priestley, Ryan Lillywhite and Ben Walkin also crossed and Steve Parnell landed three goals.

Pat Foulstone scored a hat-trick for Shaw Cross and Ben Diskin got a goal.

Stanningley claimed the bragging rights with a 31-10 success at Milford Marlins in Division One.

Try scorers for Stanningley were Frank Mayfield (2), Eddie Norfolk, Paul Robinson and Scott Hargreaves, who added a drop goal. Stuart Halliday kicked five goals.

Ryan Oxtoby scored a try and a goal for Marlins and Josh Parle also crossed.

James Craven kicked a penalty to open the scoring for Thornhill at West Bowling, but it all went wrong after that as the Dewsbury side lost 30-2.

HALF-BACKS Jack Bussey and Niall Murphy inspired Stanningley to a 44-14 home win over Siddal in the Gillette National Youth League.

The duo were among the try scorers, with Mackenzie Roberts crossing twice and Lewis Jones, Joe Ugarte, Jamie Avison and Sam Savage also touching down.

Featherstone Lions hit back from 18-4 down to pip visitors East Leeds 33-30.

Darrell Olpherts scored a hat-trick and Adam Jones, Nathan Fozzard and Jake Perkins grabbed Lions' other tries.

Try scorers for Easts were Gareth Hynes, Dan Hudson, Tim Scire, Kyle Quinlan and Nathan West.
