Behind the Doors of the Hallmark Advent Calendar

Advertorial Feature

We’ve seen many online advent calendars each counting down to Christmas in their own unique way, but one of the most useful has to be the Hallmark Advent Calendar, with a useful tip, recipe or craft idea lying behind each door.

Since December 1st we’ve opened each door on the calendar and revealed lots of inspiring ideas for Christmas that are perfect for us busy mums. We loved the easy Apple Snow Smoothie recipe that we found behind the third door and can’t wait to serve it to the little ones (and designated drivers) this Christmas, plus it’ll make a great partner for the Festive Cinnamon Stars recipe that was hidden behind door 11, or even the mouth-wateringly indulgent White Chocolate Mud Cake recipe that greeted us from behind door 8!

Hallmark have also included some great ideas for craft projects with the kids, and as parents we can all appreciate how important it is to make time for our children among all the Christmas preparations. We loved the simple but fun Crafty Santa Ornaments idea that appeared on the 2nd December and the Festive Fingerpainted Keepsakes on day 7, and while the paint was drying we followed the Marvellous Melting Snowman Soup recipe from behind door 4, to create some wonderful little gifts for their friends and teachers.

Christmas All Wrapped Up

The Hallmark advent calendar has also helped us to tackle one of the trickiest parts of preparing for Christmas – wrapping presents, thanks to an incredibly useful video showing us how to wrap our gifts like a professional, which you can find behind door 9. We also very much appreciated the inclusion of a Christmas Day make-up tips video on day 6 that’s just for us ladies to enjoy, reminding us that even though Christmas is about our families, we should also make some time for ourselves too.

Of course there have been many more fantastic festive ideas behind the doors of the http://advent-calendar.hallmark.co.uk/ advent calendar so far, but we wouldn’t want to spoil them for you! We’re looking forward to seeing what’s behind the rest of the doors as we count down the days until Christmas, so why don’t you head over to the Hallmark advent calendar now to share in all the fun?
