Leeds DJ Chris Moyles has notched up record listening figures for his Radio 1 breakfast show.
The former Radio Aire presenter, 34, has a record 7.72 million listeners, up 410,000 from the previous quarter, according to figures released by industry body Rajar.

His national breakfast show rival Terry Wogan, 69, has 8.1 million listeners, up 370,000 from the previous quarter.

The figures for December 31 to March 23 this year show the self-styled saviour of Radio 1 is now just 380,000 listeners behind Wogan.

Radio 2, the nation's most popular station, has 13.63 million listeners, a record for Radio 2 since a new methodology was introduced by the industry in 1999.
