The glamour model and WAG, aged 25, said that while she was desperate to win the show, she was excited to be out of the jungle.

Her famous disputes with singer David Van Day lasted until the bitter end - McLean embraced everyone else on leaving the camp but blanked Van Day when he tried to give her a goodbye hug.

Talking to presenters Ant and Dec after her eviction, McLean, who is engaged to footballer Tom Williams, of Peterborough United, said she was "super excited" to be out to get back into civilisation.

She said: "I was in it to win it without a shadow of doubt, but am I excited that I'm going to be seeing my fiance and my son - oh my God, yes!

"This is the toughest thing I've ever done but I'm super excited to be out."

McLean admitted that she found the Bush Tucker Trials difficult, especially eating a crocodile eyeball - she has had a phobia of eyes since she was young.

McLean also said that she disliked fellow contestant Van Day from the beginning.

She said: "I could see it, as soon as he walked in I disliked him and I disliked Timmy (Mallett). I know I was harsh, but that's how I'd be on the outside world as well. I'm very black and white.

"He targeted Joe and he tried to split up the camp. It was the extent of the nastiness behind it."

McLean said that Van Day manipulated members of the camp, including ex-EastEnders star Joe Swash and she resented him for this.

She said: "It was a shame because I think I could have had a better time with Joe had he not been swayed by that vile, vile creature."

Before the evictions, McLean was giving glamour model tips to the camp, and said: "You have to stand on your tip toes, lift your chest, suck your tummy in and push your bum out and then do a nice smile, sexy look and a cheesy grin."

McLean said she would have to look out for Martina Navratilova after the tennis champion really got into the swing of the game and posed for the photos.

She said: "You are good. You are worrying me, and I think you did this in a previous life."

Meanwhile, Simon Webbe and Van Day headed off to try and win the celebrity chest for camp - and found they had to dig to find keys to unlock the chest.

They successfully retrieved the four keys needed to unlock the chest.
The chest question was: What is the third track on the Dollar album?
Van Day - who was one half of the 80s group - answered correctly and inside the chest were tortilla chips and salsa dip.
