Coleen Rooney swept into Leeds on Saturday to sign copies of her new book on fashion.
Fans who gathered in freezing weather said the sacrifice was worth it to be at the front of the short queue which gathered at W H Smith in Leeds city centre to meet their heroine.

At the front was Beth Oddy, 17, from Kirkstall.

She queued from 8 am for the 12 noon signing session of Coleen's book "Coleen's Real Style."

Beth, who attends sixth form college at Abbey Grange high school, said: "It was cold but she is my idol and it is worth it. She is ace. She has made her own way in life. And she gives money to charity."

Next in line was Holly Large, 23, who works at HBOS and who travelled from Selby for the signing.

"She has not taken any of Rooney's cash," she said, referring to Coleen's football star husband Wayne. "She has made it all herself."

Ciara O'Leary, 24, a beauty therapist from Harrogate, said: "I think she is great. She is just a normal girl, down to earth.

"She has not let it go to her head."
