It may not be fact but is it fiction? Get your daily dose of rumour and gossip from the world of football.
DAILY MIRROR: Arsene Wenger's young Gunners came of age last night to stun AC Milan with a glorious Champions League victory in the famous San Siro. Cesc Fabregas and Emmanuel Adebayor hit the sensational late goals to make Arsenal the first English team to beat Milan on home turf. Also: Cristiano Ronaldo kept Manchester United on course for the treble last night with the goal that sent Sir Alex Ferguson's side into the Champions League quarter-finals.

THE SUN: Also: Alex Ferguson greeted a possible Champions League quarter-final against another top English rival by roaring: Bring it on. He declared: "It could well happen - and I would really enjoy that." Also: Arsene Wenger hailed his San Siro heroes as Arsenal crushed European champs AC Milan.

DAILY MAIL: Cristiano Ronaldo scored his 30th goal of the season in all competitions to put Manchester United into the quarter-finals of the Champions League. Ronaldo's left-foot shot from seven yards four minutes before half-time was enough for a 1-0 second leg win over the French champions at Old Trafford.

THE TIMES: Arsenal marched into the quarter-finals of the Champions League in sensational fashion last night as Cesc Fabregas' 30-yard drive and an injury-time tap-in from Emmanuel Adebayor gave them a 2-0 win over AC Milan at the San Siro. Arsene Wenger's young side will now be among the favourites to win the competition after eliminating the holders in a far more convincing manner than the 2-0 aggregate scoreline suggests.

THE GUARDIAN: Cesc Fabregas eliminated the Champions League holders with a 30-yarder that was no bolt from the blue. That skimming drive, six minutes from the end, smacked of the inevitable.
DAILY TELEGRAPH: Never have Arsenal played so well on foreign fields. Never have mighty Milan been left so distraught in their San Siro fortress.

DAILY STAR: Arsene Wenger's brave young Guns made history at the English graveyard last night. No English side had ever beaten AC Milan at the San Siro. Also: Cristiano Ronaldo did it again for Manchester United last night.

THE INDEPENDENT: Arrivederci Milan - the old masters undone by a young Arsenal team who announced themselves in stunning style upon the European stage last night. From Cesc Fabregas and Emmanuel Adebayor, the goals; from Arsenal, thrilling evidence that an English team can come to San Siro and beat Milan at their own accomplished game.

DAILY EXPRESS: Cesc Fabregas and Emmanuel Adebayor wrote a glorious chapter in Arsenal's history last night with the goals that fired the Gunners into the record books as the first English team to beat AC Milan in the Italians' own stadium. The Gunners' 2-0 victory was just reward for a gritty performance that left the seven-time European Champions stunned. Also: England will face a Scotland team on Saturday primed and prepared by the man who plotted their every move until 16 months ago, Andy Robinson.
