Winger Michael Wainwright scored a fine hat-trick as Castleford Tigers crushed Warrington Wolves 44-24 at the Jungle.
Tigers scored 10 tries to four, but Kirk Dixon and Craig Huby each missed four goals from five attempts.

Cas led 22-12 at the break, despite trailing briefly early on.

Luke Dorn raced the length of the field for a spectacular interception try, from a Lee Briers pass, before Briers made amends with a touchdown converted by Chris Hicks.

Michael Shenton's long pass put Wainwright over, then Stuart Donlan crossed after a fine move involving Ryan McGoldrick, Peter Lupton and Shenton, Dixon adding the extras.

Chris Riley pulled a try back for Wolves after Wainwright failed to deal with Briers' kick, Hicks converting.

But Wainwright grabbed his second try, following quick hands across the line by McGoldrick, Dorn, Donlan and Dixon, then Shenton was tackled short and lost the ball backwards for Donlan to touch down.

Matty Blythe's try early in the second-half gave Wolves hope, but Richard Owen touched down twice in four minutes, then Ned Catic stormed over and Huby added the conversion to make it 36-18 with 22 minutes left.

Riley scored his second try for Warrington and Hicks booted his fourth conversion, but Cas finished on top as Huby sent Dixon over, then Wainwright completed his hat-trick in the final moments.

Warrington had Briers sin-binned mid-way through the second-half after a late challenge on Dorn and Ben Westwood received a yellow card late on, for dissent.
