Batley Bulldogs will be desperate to end a five-game league and cup losing run when they travel to Leigh Centurions in Co-op National One tomorrow.
Bulldogs have slipped to second from bottom, but are seven points clear of relegation favourites Dewsbury Rams.

"If there's a positive, it is that we've picked up bonus points from our last four games," said Batley boss Gary Thornton, left.

"Th
at's small consolation right now, I would rather be winning games. I'm not really one for being rewarded for losing, but that's the system we are in.

"We're keen to stop the rot and turn things around and I have been pretty pleased with some of the recent performances."

An inexperienced side hit back to claim a bonus point in last week's 34-22 defeat at Widnes, after they trailed 28-6 at half-time.

Thornton said: "We've got new guys in – we had three on debut last week – and hopefully with another week's training behind them, they will have gelled a bit more.

"Leigh is a tough place to go, but we have done pretty well there in the past and I hope we can take that into Sunday's game."

Thornton will select from the 17 on duty at Widnes, plus Francis Maloney, Richard Colley and Andy Boothroyd.

Mark Barlow (ankle) is an injury doubt.

Batley Bulldogs (at Leigh) from: Preece, McGilvray, Murphy, King, Campbell, Barlow, Mennell, Potter, Lythe, Stenchion, England, Crouthers, Spears, Lindsay, Simpson, Henderson, Archibald, Colley, Maloney, Boothroyd.

Referee: Thierry Alibert (France). Kick-off: Tomorrow, 3pm
