BOSS John Kear admits Wakefield Trinity Wildcats have been let off the hook.
Wildcats remain in the thick of the play-off hunt as their main rivals have failed to take advantage of Kear's side's three game losing run.
Going into Sunday's four-pointer at Bradford Bulls, Wildcats are seventh in engage Super League, trailing
this weekend's hosts on points difference and three points clear of eighth-placed Hull KR.
Kear acknowledged: "I think we have been very lucky, basically, because other results have gone for us.
"But we can't keep relying on other results.
"We have got to get out there and start winning games."
Kear remains confident Wildcats will qualify for the end-of-season play-offs, if they can regain some consistent form.
"I think we are capable of beating anybody," he said.
"I also think we're capable of losing to anybody.
"It is a matter of making sure we go through the correct processes and if we do that, performances will look after themselves."
Meanwhile, Warrington Wolves have given a two-year contract extension to full-back Stuart Reardon.
The 26-year-old former Bradford player, who is currently sidelined with an Achilless tendon rupture, has signed until 2011 at the HJ Stadium.
