CASTLEFORD TIGERS prop-forward Liam Higgins has signed a new one-year deal.
Doncaster-born Higgins, 25, joined Tigers two years ago from Hull and has made 26 appearances this season, 16 in the starting line-up.
Coach Terry Matterson believes Higgins has yet to reach his peak.
"He's proved himself a very consistent player, who I think has got scope to improve further," said the Cas boss.
"He is a solid, hard-working prop, who drives the ball in hard. He has earned himself this year's extension."
