Hunslet Hawks utility-player Darren Robinson will be out of action for the rest of the season after suffering a broken arm in the Co-op National Two defeat by Gateshead Thunder two days ago.
Coach Graeme Hallas said: "He has an operation today and that effectively rules him out for the season.

"It's a blow because he's got utility value and he was just starting to come back into a bit of form, but these things happen.

"It's all part of the game and we've just got to get on with it.

"Every team loses one or possibly two players for the season at some stage.

"We will have to rise above it and see what's about in terms of bringing people in if we can."

Wayne Freeman damaged a hip against Gateshead and could be sidelined for up to three weeks. Hawks are assessing Anthony Thewliss (twisted knee).
