Experienced Aussie Brad Drew has set his sights on a second Challenge Cup final appearance in three seasons, writes PETER SMITH.
Drew was a key figure for Huddersfield Giants in their march to the 2006 decider and he will be aiming to repeat the feat when his new club Wakefield Trinity Wildcats take on Hull in tomorrow's semi-final in Doncaster.

"We are one game away from Wembley and that's a big achievement," said 32-year-old Drew, who joined Wildcats as a hooker but is likely to feature at half-back tomorrow.

"I wouldn't miss this opportunity for the world.

"I love the Challenge Cup, I have got some great memories to take home with me from the Challenge Cup and this occasion is no different.

"I have played in a couple of big games before and I really cherish them now, because I know there's not too many left for me."

Giants' appearance in the final – when they lost to St Helens – came at Twickenham and Drew feels reaching Wembley would be even more special.

He said: "For me as an Australian, to play in a huge game at Wembley would be fantastic.

"I missed the chance in 2006 because the stadium wasn't ready.

"That was supposed to be the first year the Challenge Cup went back there.

"It was disappointing not to play at Wembley, but I would have played in my back yard if it was a Challenge Cup final.

"Reaching a final is a fantastic achievement in itself."

Hull are the in-form team, but Drew believes Wildcats – who have lost their last four games – will rise to the occasion.

"Hopefully we'll play better than we have been doing," he said.

"I think we've started to see slight improvements in the things we've been working at in training over the last few weeks.

"We've trained well all week and I am sure the performance and the result will look after themselves."
