HUNSLET were out-fought, out-paced and outplayed as London Skolars ran in nine tries and could have had many more in a comfortable 50-16 National Two victory
Skolars' hard running and formidable tackling smashed Hunslet's hopes of a fourth successive win and left them nursing hurt pride and battered bodies.
Nathan Larvin, whose brave tackling prevented at least two Skolars tries, will be out for some t
ime with a broken hand.
Scott Childs will miss Sunday's visit by Workington with a torn calf muscle, while Ben Lawton has a suspected broken leg and Karl Gunney suffered concussion.
Coach Graeme Hallas said: "We will check people tomorrow but we have a real problem. The performance was disappointing – we were given a lesson in enthusiasm."
Phil Hasty's 12th- minute try, putting Hunslet 6-2 in front, was as good as it got for the Hawks. Richard Chapman and Danny Cook crossed in the second half but by then the match was lost.
Hunslet, trailing 14-6, were blown away with three tries just before the break while Jon Wainhouse was in the sin-bin and another try was conceded a minute after half-time.
Skolars rounded off an impressive display with Cory Simms' 70-metre try and a second from impressive full-back Michael Chan.
