Police in Leeds city centre were called to WH Smith after receiving a call about a suspicious package.

The call came from a member of the public about a WH Smith store in Lands Lane, Leeds city centre.

The call was made at 2.23pm.

But after police got there, they found the package was a sports bag with a blanket over it.

The incident was revealed as part of West Yorkshire Police's Twitter Day.

Officers across the force shared the work they are doing using the hashtag #wyp24
