FIREFIGHTERS have treated a man for smoke inhalation after rescuing him from a fire at a bungalow in West Ardsley.

Crews from Hunslet and Morley were called to the blaze at Perth Drive at around 6.30pm tonight.

Fire crews rescued a man from the bungalow.

He was treated at the scene for minor smoke inhalation and taken to hospital for a precautionary check-up.

The fire has now been put out. Two fire crews from Morley and one from Hunslet attended the fire.

West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said the property did have smoke detectors which were working.

Police are concerned about people swimming in Roundhay Lake, pictured, during the warm weather.
