3-1.

Bramham hit the heights on the opening day, hammering visiting Harlow Hill 5-1, while a five-goal thriller saw Otley Town Reserves go down 3-2 at home to Bedale Town.

The Castleford Sunday League also got under way at the weekend, with majestic Brotherton and Byram in seventh heaven after inflicting a 7-1 drubbing on Knottingley Waterside in the Premier Division.

Ferrybridge Progressive also enjoyed an uplifting away-day, blitzing St John's Terrace 4-0, while honours were shared in a 2-2 draw between Upton Wrangbrook and North Featherstone.

There were home comforts for Queens Head, who saw off Thorpe Audlin 3-1.

In Division One, a nine-goal humdinger saw Pontefract Sports and Social squeeze past Golden Lion 5-4. Newfield saw off Castleford Black Bull 3-1, with Railway Tavern Hensall triumphing by the same margin against visiting Castleford Town.

Anglers Athletic were also flying high after a 3-1 success at Castlefields.

Division Two action was headlined by two thrill-a-minute encounters, with Chequerfield holding sway in a 4-3 victory over the Early Bath.

Milford also prevailed by the odd goal in seven against home team Fox while Fryston AFC had an opening day to savour with a comprehensive 4-0 win over Knottingley Railway.

West Riding County Amateur League action this weekend sees Ardsley Celtic play host to visiting Campion, while Lower Hopton entertain Wibsey.

Hemsworth MW travel to Meltham Athletic.

Champions Bay Athletic are at home to Storthes Hall, last season's runners-up, in the division's match-of-the-day.

Overthorpe Sports visit Division One champions Kirkburton.
