Nostell Miners Welfare stormed through to the next stage of the FA Cup with last night's 3-0 defeat of Winsford United.
Neil Beardsmore gave Nostell a 10th-minute lead in the extra preliminary round replay and Paul Bedford extended it nine minutes before half-time.

Oli Johnson wrapped things up with his side's third goal on 59 minutes, booking a preliminary round tie at Warrington on Saturday, August 30.

Elsewhere, Tadcaster Albion suffered the heartache of penalties in going out of the Northern Counties East League Cup at the first stage.

Albion drew their first round home tie with Hemsworth Miners Welfare 1-1 but the visitors won 4-3 on spot-kicks.

Leeds Carnegie also went out, losing 2-1 at Scarborough, and Yorkshire Amateur went down 2-0 at home to Pontefract Collieries.
